On our own.
Not much to tell about our last full day here. We just kind of wandered around taking pics, wishing we could figure out a way to retire now, and move here full time.
Please enjoy some more sights of the city
This diorama shows the site of the botanical gardens.
The trench with the cage over it is where the community did their laundry. It is still in-tact at the garden.
Zorro, caught napping in the hostel, again.
The sign below, from the rock above. I fear this is an important thought that has been squashed in my culture.
As you can see, Reykjavik is stunningly beautiful. I think we got a real feel for the city this trip. Now I am on fire to explore the rest of this island. I could easily spend a year or more here. Something I truly see us doing in the future.
Another thing happened while we were here. We saw a rainbow almost every day. We didn't get pictures of them all, but here are a couple.
Nice double rainbow over the harbor.
Completely wiped out from this whirlwind trip, Julie decided to give dinner a miss. The rest of us walked over to Lauga-ás, a little bistro next to the hostel. This is the first place Julie and I ate on our last trip here. The award winning chef does some amazing things. There is an obvious french influence, that really works well with the ingredients available here. A most enjoyable meal indeed.

Full and happy, we went to bed.
