Arctic Expedition 21

Now it was time to say goodbye to our girls.  Josefine was taking Jullyana and rest of the group out to their cottage to have a rustic getaway.  We had one more day in Ahus with Carin before we left for Copenhagen.  Julie has a hard time saying goodbye, because we love these girls so much.  But Carin had just the thing to cheer us up...estate sale shopping!  But first, we had to take down the dried out Christmas tree...

All of the ornaments and decorations fit on the little cabinet, once again showing how they don't overdo
Sally needed a nap after all that work

We went to a huge estate sale store, that was filled with beautiful glass, china, furniture, paintings, textiles; well everything.  Julie had been looking at buying an embroidered wall hanging like she had seen at the grandparent's homes.  They are really expensive on ebay and such, but not here!

Carin found a coat, but it was just a little too big
We went walking through town, afterward, checking out the window displays.
Check out this one, at the bakery.

Then we went to the Red Cross store, does anybody know what this is?  we sure couldn't figure it out!

 Since we were in Kristianstad,
we had lunch at La Cacina, the restaurant where Johanna works.

Dark already, just after lunch.
Later, Carin made a spectacular dinner.
Pastry wrapped fillet, au gratin potatoes, and micro green salad.
Cream filled pastries for dessert.
Off to pack and go to sleep for our short journey to Copenhagen in the morning.
